Date and Location
The HAKONE VII Symposium –
the 7th International Symposium on High Pressure, Low Temperature
Plasma Chemistry - is taking place from Sunday
10th August (Registration and welcome of participants) to Wednesday 13th September 2000 in the hotel and conference
complex “Pappel Allee 1-2” of the city Greifswald (Germany).
This complex is located at the periphery of the town, with distances of only two kilometres to the Baltic Sea as well as to the downtown, and is marked in the map of the city attached to this programme.
The conference complex is
attainable from the railway station
“Greifswald-Hbf” by a special HAKONE
Shuttle Bus (on Sunday only), the regular bus route numbers 6 or 7 (to bus stop “Boddenhus”, walking time
from here to the Parkhotel about 5 minutes) or by TAXI (for details see below).
Registration and Information
Desk
The Registration and
Information Desk is situated in the PARKHOTEL (Pappelallee 1).
The Registration Desk will be open for service to all participants
on Sunday 10th August from 12:00-20:00. On Monday and the other days
of symposium the Information Desk is situated in the Conference Centre from
8:00-12:00.

Furthermore, you have the

Equipment
The lecture hall of the
Conference Centre will be equipped with overhead projector and a slide
projector. If you need other equipment please contact the Secretary’s office
before
September 1st,
2000.
Language of the Conference
The official language of the Conference is English which will be used for materials, presentations and discussions.
Oral
Presentation
Lecturers are allotted to
give a 15 minutes oral presentation plus 5 minutes discussion. Detailed
guidelines for the presentation will be given by the Session Chairman.
Review Lectures
The conference topics 1 –
6 will be started by a review lecture.
In this way the participants of the symposium will get an actual overview on
the topics presented. The review
lecturers are requested to give a 25 minutes oral presentation plus 5
minutes discussion.
Poster
Presentation
The majority of
contributed papers accepted will be presented as posters within two poster sessions. Please, notice:

Usable poster board size: The posters can be maximum 1.5 m wide and
maximum 1.2 m high. Each panel will have an identification number, given in the
scientific programme.

Materials for putting up posters will be provided.
·
Posters of the Sessions 1 & 2 can be attached to the display panels
on Monday from 8:00 until lunch time. Please take down these posters on Tuesday
until lunch time.
·
Posters of the Sessions 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 can be attached to the display
panels on Wednesday from 8:00. Please take down your posters on Wednesday after
the last Session.
Conference Proceedings
All accepted papers are
printed in two volumes of “Contributed
Papers” of the HAKONE VII Symposium and
will be distributed to the participants on registration. The copyright of the
proceedings belongs to the Institute of Physics of the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt
University of Greifswald, Germany.
If there is the copyright
agreement of authors, the contributed papers are available for a longer period
in the web-site of HAKONE VII Symposium under the address

A limited number of copies
of the contributed papers will be available for sale during and after the
conference at the price of DM 100,-.
