Mirror system for solar movie
SWEETS has produced a television mirror system for solar movies. The mirror system is composed of computer, TVset and six relatively large trapezium mirrors. Images and movies of the Sun from SOHO are stored on the computer's hard disk. The images are displayed on the TV screen which is not flat. Due to the system of mirrors the part of the Sun is multiply reflected. The result is a large spherical (3D) image of the Sun (3 m in diameter). In other words, the whole system can be described as a 3D model of the Sun. It serves for educational purposes.
