Current work :

I'm working on deposition and characterization of thin film using cluster ion sources with Prof. Dr. Rainer Hippler The main aim of the work is to create thin solid films and to characterize ion clusters.

Talk on my thesis work Production & characterization of metal nanoclusters” :

Short description: This work is mainly on cluster production & characterization. Metal nanoclusters are produced inside NC200 nanoclusters source by dc magnetron sputtering followed by gas aggregation. The produced clusters can be mass selected inside a QMF 200 mass filter and finally these clusters can be deposited on a substrate for further analysis. The cluster deposited films are characterized by Atomic Force Microscopy (AMF), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray Reflection and UV-Visible absorption spectroscopy. A short summary on my thesis explaining relevant results can be found here – Thesis-summary. & the thesis – Shyju-Thesis.
